Before I dare to describe the day, here are some pictures...
This is Maya with her Nanny..she is quite content to look at us and wave.
She did not look like she was going to cry when they handed her to me, but I think she was just going with the crowd. It only lasted a minute or two..then just silence and looking around.
Here we are together...having a quiet moment away from the crowds...
We shared some Cheerios....
We filled out some paperwork and then came back to the room, where we played some, ate some, and then played some more...here she is expertly stacking her stacking cups!
It was a wonderful day! Maya is a very sweet baby. She has a bit of a cold...and is very quiet. No crying...just a little wimpering. I'm sure it's coming....so I'll take the quiet for now!
More to come....for now, I'm going to take some very good advice, which is to rest when Maya rests! Good night from Zhengzhou!

Welcome, Maya!!!! The kids woke up this morning to pictures of their newest cousin! They want to know when she is coming home. When we told Hank it would be another ten days, he said, "Oh. So they'll have to eat there?"
Of course, she is beautiful, and you two look like you were made for each other.
Does Grandpa's mysterious magic touch extend all the way to China? Is Maya in love with him?

Congratulations Michelle! You are officially a mommy to Maya!!! She is adorable and you look so happy. I finally got some time from work to check out your blog! I'm sitting here crying at my desk. Maya is so beautiful and you look like you are radiating with delight! We couldn't wait to see the pictures of you and Maya together. When I told the boys that we had to hurry home so that we could see Michelle's baby on the computer, Adam said "Why do you keep saying Michelle's having a baby?" It was getting on his nerves. Anyway, Jeremy and I are so excited and happy for you! Adam did say that Maya is cute! Can't wait to see more pictures.
